Fancy Dress Competition

The theme of the competition was My Country. Every school generally has a fashion show where students dress up in state costumes. But, very few schools can boast of having children from such a cross section of the country. These young ones, dressed in their state costumes, showed how Aditya is a melting pot of various states and cultures. An all pervasive optimism prevailed everywhere!

Diya Decoration

As the festivities of the season rose higher, the students  in tune with the coming festival Diwali made earthen lamps in the school. Adityan’s have regular pottery sessions in school. They decorated the lamps, which they made and happily carried back home for Diwali puja.

Garba Party

Students at Aditya Kids offerred their tribute to Goddess Durga by playing Dandia Raas in school. The Indian culture came alive in the school. The students came in colourful costumes. Girls were wearing Ghagra Choli and boys were dressed in Kedia or Dhoti kurta. Garba is an Indian form of dance that originated in the Gujarat region. Colourful Rangoli and the thrilling music greeted the students when they arrived at the school campus all enthusiastically awaiting a treat to a rocking dance party. The foot tapping music which comprised of popular dandia soundtracks made the students as well as teachers let their hair down and have a gala time.

Ganesh Chaturthi Celebration

Aditya World School celebrated Ganesh Chaturthi with grandeur. A 4 feet Ganesh statue was established in the school premises. Aarti was done by the students’ every day. Ganpati visargan was done with a hawan and kirtan. All the parents with the students were also invited for the puja. To give complete knowledge to our students about Indian culture and traditions we celebrated the festival in school.

Theme given was fruits and vegetables. Healthy competition is necessary- it brings out the best in an individual and so has to be encouraged. A fancy dress competition was organised for the students. Children came attired in different costumes to make the atmosphere vibrant and colourful. The event was judged by the teachers of the school. The students gave the judges a tough job.

Food Festival

The theme for the month was Food, ongoing with it the school had a food week where the students were informed to bring different food articles like various fruits, vegetables etc. on the date specified. The little angels easily learnt the names of various foods as they savoured it.

Healthy Food Habits

Students were taught the concept of Break Fast, Lunch & Dinner. Beginning with the idea that mealtimes are pleasant and that good behaviour makes them more fun for everyone. Children were told about the importance of good manners, and were encouraged to practice table manners. They were taught basics plus a few finer points of table manners. The same is practised in school every day as consistency will help make good manners a habit for the child.

Raksha Bandhan

rakheeChildren came dressed in ethnic clothes and made Rakhi in the school. The day was celebrated with zeal and enthusiasm. Such festivals are celebrated in school with an objective of teaching small children community living and developing family values.

Friendship Day

Parents were requested to send children dressed up in red colour. They celebrated Friendship Day at school listening to stories based on friendship & tying friendship bands to each other which they had themselves made for their friends.
